The MB on my dads computer is shot. Its a P4 socket 478 w/ 400mhz bus, AGP 4x, 2x184 pin DDR266 memory, onboard lan, sound etc. I checked newegg and tigerdirect, both do not have boards that are that slow/old. Anybody know a site on the net where i can get this type of board?

do they have p4 boards that has socket 478??

Newegg.com does have that exact board for you. Most are either 533 or 400 with a 478 socket. I just installed one in a PC yesterday for a friend made by Biostar and cost $45.50 delivered to my door.

It's a Biostar UJ8668D, which is a P4 socket 478 with DDR266, newegg item #13-138-232
