Azureus slowed down after i turned on WEP 128bit???? WTF?

Hey guys, first time poster here. I'm hoping someine can please help me because i'm a newbie to Azureus. I love this program, i got it to work perfectly, getting green on all my torrents and so on. I have turned off the windows firewall (Win XP Pro SP1) and have forwarded the ports (6881-6999) for Azureus. I turned on WEP 128bit for my wireless network and ever since i did this i can't get any green smileys anymore. When i check the peers list under the details of any downloading torrent under the "T" column (between client and pieces columns) all i see is the letter L and no letter R on ANYONE's IP. Can someone PLEASE PLEASE help me sort out this problem. Oh and by the way, in case it helps to know what router i'm using it's a D-Link DI-624. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

Hate to state the obvious or offend you, but why not just turn off the encryption while downlaoding torrents?

No offence taken. I already tried that and had no luck, but i did read a guide online a little while ago and changed all the ports that i use for Azureus and all the settigs on my router and now it's all gravy. But thanks for the advice anyway.

dont use ports 6881-6999 etc
use 40k-60k
check for usage first.
