ok i have downloaded burnout revenge on my computer and their are files saying like boutrv.001,002 and so on but i might have done something horrible because i opened(not extracted) the .001 file with WinRAR and i double click the file and it says e-boutrv.001.iso is this correct?And what do i do with all the other files like the boutrv.002,.003,.004 and so on?And their are some documents about the boutrv stuff do i dlete that and how do i add the files onto a DVD-R using Nero?And i am using staples buisness depot brand DVD-R i dont know if those are good.Please tell me how to put the files on the DVD-R and burn them succcesfully.Thanks.

Unzip the first one with WinRAR. Right click extract here. Then you will get the game iso. It should be one or two files depending on which program was used to create the iso. Use DVD Decrypter to burn it on 1x or 2x, 4x if that doesn't work. Here's a guide: http://home.earthlink.net/~moderator/id3.html Staple's DVD-R's probably aren't the best. Try Maxell or TDK.

as Tokijin said choose the first RAR file and extract the file(files) It will extract the full file by getting the information from all the RAR files combined. That is why you choose the first file. It automaticly extracts the rest of the files to make the ful FILE.
Example of files:
ISO just burn as image file with your burning program.
Cue with Bin file -- load the cue file in DVD Decrypter or your burning program and it then use the Bin file to burn the image.
MDS with MDF File -- MDS is same as a cue file. Load the MDS file and it will then use the MDF file to burn the image.
You can download DVD Decrypter and use that to burn all these files.
Do this by choosing the MODE/ISO/WRITE in the DVD Decrypter settings.
Burrning with DVD Decrypter
For the ISO just load it as the source file in Decrypter.
For the Cue-Bin file load the cue file in the sourch.
MDS-MDF use the load the MDS file in the source.
You will mostly get 1 of those combinations after extracting the RAR files.
As for the other files that come with the download most of those are just Info files that tell you information about the game download itself and you dont need to worry about that when burning the Image files.
Dont burn any faster then 4x and of course use good media. Also you need to have your PS2 modded or have swap magic to load the backup games.

ok i used Nero to burn it but im not sure if it will work because i havent gotten my swapmagic yet but this is what i did.
I added the boutrv archive onto Nero and then i burned it at x2 speed but after when it was verifyining what it just burned,then it wrote at 5.8x!Is that wat Nero does or sis i do something wrong?

You dont burn the arcihive with Nero. Look above and read. We said to extract the first file in the archive which will extract an image file for you to burn.

where does it say unzip?And can u tell me step by step how to do it cause right now i have the eboutrv.iso and the eboutrv.001,002,etc.and they gave me two files,eboutrv.iso and a echelon pgn. do i burn that file also?Please tell me a step by step manual of how to do this and please answer my questions.Thank u.

I just got swap magic 3 for the ps2.. and it keep's saying please insert a ps2 game or what not, at the prompt screen. I burned it right, that much i know.. any sugestion's?

Yeah remove your email Xanza, before the moderators see it. I know you said you burned the backup correctly, but bad burns are the number one cause of games not running with Swap Magic. Use DVD Decrypter. Burn at 1x, 2x, then 4x until it works. Use Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Ritek, TDK, Sony, Phillips, or Maxell DVD-R's. i am downloading killzone right now but there is only one file called killzone.rar.bc and i think it is a .rar file but why is there only one file?When i was downloading burnout revenge there was more than 40 files and this only has one!And how do i burn the file with DVD Decrypter can someone tell me and the game is a multi language dvd so do i choose the language when i start the game or something or do i have to rebuild it?Can someone tell me how to burn the .rar file with DVD Decrypter on a DVD-R and can someone tell me how to change the language of this game?

Arg, Use WinRAR to decompress the file. You should get an iso file or something similar. You don't burn rar files. If you get a group of files like BOR000.rar, BOR001.rar, and BOR002.rar, decompress BOR000.ear and you're ready to go. You always decompress the first file in a series of rar files. Some people will upload torents with just 1 rar file in it. Which really isnt the correct way to do it but it dosent mean you cant download it. It just means you will only have 1 RAR file. some even upload the torrent file as just an image and not added to a RAR archive at all.
The reason why there isnt multipile RAR files is because they just added the iamage file in the archive and didnt split it in multipile RAR files. When you add a file in an archive you can make the archive split the Image files in multipile parts by size of each part which will give you more then 1 RAR file in each torrent. This makes it easier and quicker to send the file by p2p.
Just do it like the rest. Extract the file out of the RAR archive and burn it. And yes the Multi-language gives you the option at the begining of the game to choose what language you want. So after downloading the file. Extract it then burn the image file with your burning software.

when im finshed downloading the game,will it make a file or am i supposed to get the file when i start downloading?And does killzone need rebuilding because it is 3.44gb and before i downloaded burnout revenge and it was 1.83gb but when i extracted it,it turned to 3.33gb so will killzoen turn from 3.44gb to like 5.00gb?

Dude read the above post when your done downloading EXTRACT THE FILE from the RAR file and burn that image. This isnt rocket science. As of the game needing rebuilt. If your downloading it of the net I dought you will have to rebuild it, if it needs rebuilt then it probably already has been by whoever uploaded the file. Also you have asked this question in 2 other seperate post read the forum RULES!!!!!!!!!

I agree, I'm all for helpin noobs, but you've got to at least make an effort to resolve the problem. All the info you've been given is correct. If you end up with a couple coasters, so be it, we all have.

From my experience, i find that Taiyo Yuden are the bext media i have ever used, not a single coaster at all, and i can get them cheap, If you live in Ontario, go to Factory Direct and they sell 100 blank dvd;s for 24 bucks, not too shabby if you ask me :)

no, posting the sites is fine, just dont post links to files or links to torrents. those sites are nothing more than information, it's what you do FROM the sites that will get you in trouble, but that has nothing to do with aD.
