This is how you do it, buy like larrylje said, you might want to talk it over with your dad first.
This is how you can convert it to NTFS:
Go to the command prompt (Start>Run) and type the following.
convert driveletter /fs:ntfs press enter
drive letter = c: d: e: etc. whatever the drive that you want to convert is.

Iv finally got round to changing the drive, which drive should i change??
Would it be best for me to change the hard disk drive ( C: drive )?
Then i should be able to extract the files fine with no problems?

You'll want to change whatever drive you tend to use for your downloads. If you use C:, I'd change that one.

Ok thanks alot
Me and my dad have decided, instead of changing the hard drive iv got now to NTFS, hes goin to buy a big ass external hard drive to put all my downloaded ps2 games on, and change that one instead.
Thanks alot for your help tho, u sound like a real pro at this kind of stuff.

That's a great idea!! I have two external hd's, and that's all I use them for. Just didn't mention it because I didn't know if it was an option for you.
Good luck and enjoy!

A pro? Don't make me laugh! Hehe, o/j :P
Yeah that's a good idea, but remember that nearly everything 4gb+ will have to go on the external HDD..

Since you're going to change the external hdd to NTFS, all of your game files (over 4gb) will need to go there; otherwise, you'll end up with that WinRAR error.

No, you can get an alternative - http://www.swapmagic3.com
I'm not sure about you're country, but in most countires, modchips are illegal. The intent to bypass copy protection.
Modchips, are used to force the PS2 to boot up backups. Depending on the chip, you may get extra features, such as PSX bootup, PAL/NTSC force-boot etc.
Take a look - http://www.modchip.com/

Mik3h was just saying that an alternative to a mod chip is Swap Magic. It is a boot disc that allows you to play your backups. If you look at the link in his post, you can find out what you would need and more information on the product.

Do any of you have the "Magic Swap Disk v3.6" and can confirm that it will play your burnt ps2 games?

I use Swap Magic 3.6 and it works great with backups. You just have to make sure that you also get the slide card/flip top or magic keys, depending on what version you have.

Yeah the one im buying comes with the "slide tool" and the new front for my disk tray.
My dad buying me the "external HDD" on boxing day so i should be able to start burning my games fine. If i have any problems once iv burnt the games, ill type it in on here, sayin exactly what i did.
Thanks for telling me it works, i dont want to get it mod chipped because of the way u lose ur guarantee ( or however u spell it ).

With a mod chip or Swap Magic, you can use those types of DVD's. You might want to watch out for the "RW's". Most of the time, they don't work too well. You'll also want to make sure that you use good media, like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Sony, TDK or Phillips.
As far as software, you can use DVD Decrypter, Nero, Alcohol 120% and Clone CD (for CD based games).
What do you mean by "why do u need cd for swap magic"? The CD version is used for CD based games.
Also, you might want to remove your email address before you get some unwanted emails. Besides, it's against the forum rules.

Yeah, I usually stick with DVD Decrypter, even though I have Nero 7 premium edition, Alcohol 120% etc, I still use DVD Decrypter, I think it's easier.
Also, yeah, If you dont have good media, you will more than likely get a lot of coasters, so I reccomend you pick up some good media.
