Separating RAID0 drives to test singularly, data lost?

Hello,
I need to test my two Seagate 200GB SATA drives separately as instructed by Seagate support, but i am worried that separating the drives to test them may destroy the RAID0, losing all the data.

I currently cannot test the drives as their S.M.A.R.T compatability is hidden by the RAID, so i need to test them separately.

Can i not just disconnect one, run the tests on each, then reconnect them and use as normal?

The drives appear to be faulty. They appear to work find normally, but when i work them hard (i.e. by copying large files, playing games (making the drive spin fast) they click once or twice and have difficulty reading.
Just letting you know the background of the issue, the main questing is about the RAID separation.

I apprechiate any and all help :)

i don't know much about raid, but it seems like if you seperate the drive, unless you put it back how it was, you'd lose all the data since raid0 causes them to both share each others space, so parts of the same file is on both drives. but like i said, i dont know much about raid

I had assumed so much, but i really need to be certain, i do not wish to lose 200Gb of important data like that :)

Well i went and did it.
It is fine to separate the drives, as assumed.
So long as you do not try to edit the data held on the the drives when they are separate, everything should be fine.
