Hi guys, this is more of a heads up than anything.

I updated my Pestpatrol and spywareblaster on my p2p machine today
and found allot of junk in there from Limewire and Bearshare.

For those unfamiliar with this you may want to run an anti-spyware
program to clean this stuff off.

I uninstalled all p2p's aside
from Winmx now that it is working fine again.

I cut the log short but here it is:

No there is no ad/spy in limewire.....

As we know, you have to install the 'save!' ads when bearshare is installed.

By the way, spyware applications can be notorious for being a little over-sensitive ;)

Hhmmm, Lethal. Maybe you might check the log I supplied in my post, Limewire does to have adware. Try reading it.

Hmm, whatever your scan says, Limewire doesnt have adware/spyware, have you ever seen a pop up or other form of adware from limewire? I havent.

Your scan basically said all of Limewire is a pest...a little over-sensitive...i think so.

Yes, but it's possible it was from something else on that system. I don't know for sure.

I had allot of them and deleted them. From all of the research I have done Pest Patrol ranks high although it does flag allot of files that are NOT adware/spyware. I sift through it and check the ones that say adware or spyware and appear like they are.

The intention of my post was to try to help people be more aware of it and doing something about it instead of becoming overun by all kinds
of programs seeking to hurt them. I remove spyware/adware for others in my job everyday. Just trying to help, I guess you guys have all you need.
