Hello
I am using a an fast boradband connection but when I download using bittorrent and other clients such as azureus, the fastest download rate I get is 5kb or 7kb.

I am using a Mcafee firewall and I am using a BT voyager ADSL Modem.

Can anyone let me know how I can speed up my download rate. Or what settings I need to change to speed up my downloads.

Hello
I have looked at the information but most of the pages dont contain that much usefull information, only some do.
I have checked the information and applied what they said to do, but it does not seem to speeding up my download rates.
My ports are free and have no problem connecting to any pears.
I even use bt engine to speed up my downloads but I still dont seem to be getting the fast downloads I should
Can any help and let me know how I can fix this problem.

My guide was written for BitComet .59 and I have never tried .60 so I would download .59 to follow my guide.
As for step 7, use BC .59 and then follow all the steps and it will all make sense. Once again, if you have anymore problems feel free to post again ;)

7)If you are behind a firewall such as McAfee, please allow full access to the internet for BitComet. If Using Windows Firewall, then you must do the following: Open Windows Firewall through the Control Panel. Go to the Exceptions tab and press Add Port. Then add the port # you selected in step 5.

http://www.soft32.com/download_121341.html for BC 0.59 in case other people want it.

Enable both tcp and udp.

I would enable DHT but leave the other ones alone.
