Hi all, got the Hong Kong Silver DVD9 disc of the Two Towers and am wanting to put it onto one DVD-R disc...

I dvddecrypted all the files off the disc but when I merge all the vobs it stops when it gets to the next 'half' of the movie and returns to the start of the movie..

the files are split in two 4 gig parts on the original disc..

any help to merge these files and create a fully working 1-disc solution ?

not too many of us have 2 towers, but the easiest way is with dvd2one to put it on 1 dvd...works and looks great! to split try derrows dvdsplit....seems to be designed for lotr.

I think you read my post wrong, or i wrote it wrong.

what I mean is when you open the dvd with DVD2One it comes up with two titles that are 1 hour and a half long each... aproximately
the second title plays halfway thru the movie...

I believe this was a 2-DVD-R version of the movie which was duped onto a DVD-9 disc..

how can I make the two titles play as one on one disc ?

what do you mean: "when you open the dvd with DVD2One". you don't. rip just the movie in file mode with dvd decryptor. then open in dvd2one.

when you rip the movie , the disc contains VTS_0_1* sets of vobs which equal 4 gig... then it has VTS_04* vobs which are 4 gig..

the VTS_0_4* vobs are the second half of the movie.

it doesnt have one big title, it has two sets of vobs and two titles that are 1hr30min each...
