It's a pretty simple question: if you're using AIM to transfer files between yourself and a friend, is there any way the RIAA could catch you?

What if you're both on the same university network?

What if you're transferring between two different university networks?

What if you've just got a normal ISP, e.g. Comcast, AOL, or SBC?

no you wont get caught using aim....
or through ur universities (unless RIAA is at one of the universities)
