Need some help....I just loaded a movie that split into 2 files when it downloaded. How do I merge the 2 and burn 1 DVD? I have the files in 2 extensions--.avi and .iso. I can encode in various ways. Each file is approx 715,400 KB. Any thoughts?

im not exactly sure what ur asking. i can tell u that i have downloaded files(xvid) where it came in 2 parts. i use Nero. go to start smart, tick dvd at the top, then go to photo and video, then go to make or modify video and open.insert dvd u wish to record to.then tick make dvd, then dvd video. pull up both files and when it ask for a menu select none. this usually doese it for me. it will take the videos(pt1&pt2) and combine them and burn in dvd format. if u dont have Nero 6.0 ultra u might can get a trial version at Nero.com. however if ur trying to combine an iso and AVI that could be alittle different. ive never tried that.

Dear ohcheap1,

I take it you have two files, one an AVI, the other an iso, and you would like to burn them to 1 dvd, right?

If that is the case, then you should first extract the iso. A simple way would be to create a virtual drive with Daemon Tools (free program), then mount the iso onto the virtual drive to see what's inside.

Do that and tell us the results before we proceed any further.

Hi there,

To convert 1 or multiple AVI, MPG, MOV files to DVD, you can use VSO DivXtoDVD to convert them.

The latest v1.99 Pre-Release (Not Free) will create menus, can add chapters and supports sub-titles.

Also has it's own built in burn engine !

Thanks SO much for the feedback! I found an additional way with software that I already have. DVD Shrink. It will merge the 2 files too. There is a very slight delay in movie where the files merge but not bad at all, about 3 seconds.
