Ok im following the guide and the 2nd disc plays fine. The first will not play past the intro, I get the main menu i select play it goes through its little intro thing showing higlights from other movies but when the movie itself goes play it wont, it stops. Im playing the movie info edit before I go to burn. Heres what I have in the dvd1 folder:
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_0.VOB
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_03_0.BUP
VTS_03_0.IFO
VTS_03_1.VOB
VTS_04_0.BUP
VTS_04_0.IFO
VTS_04_1.VOB
VTS_06_0.BUP
VTS_06_0.IFO
VTS_06_0.VOB

Also in the directions it says to copy the VTS_01_X files to both directories although there already is a VTS_O1_0.VOB in this directory so what do I do with the orginal VTS_01_0.VOB? Could someone please help thank you very much!!!

what movie? following what guide? i'm assuming you're talking about using ifo edit! you probably forgot to reopen the movie in ifoedit and click on get vts sectors just before burning. if you selected to create new ifo's, you do not need to do anything else. ifoedit created what you need. why didn't you remove the intro crap?

I was usings the splitting dvd-9 to 2 dvd-rs guide on this site, listed at the top of this forum actually. The movie is American Pie 2 I listed that in the title. Ive followed this guide precisely. I did remember to do get vts vectors before burning. As far as the title and crap how to I remove them, or even better yea what files do I need anD what files can i remove. The main move is in:
VTS_06_0.IFO
VTS_06_1.VOB
VTS_06_2.VOB
VTS_06_3.VOB
VTS_06_4.VOB
VTS_06_5.VOB
VTS_06_6.VOB

you need VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_06_0.IFO
VTS_06_1.VOB
VTS_06_2.VOB
VTS_06_3.VOB
VTS_06_4.VOB
VTS_06_5.VOB
VTS_06_6.VOB
these are all necessary to make it play in a dvd player. my recommendation is to get DVD2one. rip just the movie, and open it in DVD2one....it's a no hassle event and fast
