i just started having this problem about a week ago. ok heres whats happening. whenever i put my computer in hibernate when i shut it down.( it shutdowns fine) but when i come back like about a hour or so late and turn the computer back on i would get a black screen that would just sit there and won't do anything so i would then have to unplug the computer and plug it back in but then after i do that i would get the part where u get the message saying that the last attempt to restart the system from its previous location failed. attempt to restart again? which would be followed by these opitions
delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu or continue with system restart

and the only to get the computer to start up i would chose the first one that says delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu and then it will load up fine.
can some one please help me to fix the probelm or find out whats going on?

thanks for all your help

I have not clue, but don't use hibernate or Standby. I have no clue why anyone would use either of those, unless they don't have a clue that those features were nothing more than hype by MS. It works for some folks, but not for most.

Seriously dude, why do you need to hibernate? Whenever you shut down properly it frees up all your resources and you have everything running nice and smooth again when you reboot. And besides, it will free up a chunk of space on your hard drive the size of your RAM by turning it off in your system settings. There is next to no difference in the speed it takes to boot up, so unless you have a very very special need for it it is just a waste of space on your hard drive and a waste of your time worrying about it.
