I recently sent our stand alone recorder in for warranty work. The recorder looked like it had just come out of the box new, except for all the problems with this model.

I received the replacement and was quite shocked by the shape it was in, the top was marked up and it had tape on it, the front plastic windows were scuffed from improper cleaning.

I contacted Lite-On and explained the problems with the recorder they sent me, I was told that they did not cover blemishes under the warranty.

I have used Lite-On products for years and have been very happy with them, except for this incident.
