Hi All,

I'm having major adware/spyware problems and I'm trying to get them off my computer. However, all the programs that I find online, they will scan your harddrive, but you have to buy the program in order to erase the 'ware. Does anyone know of a link to a website that will take it off, free?

Thank you!

I agree 100% with ddp! Spyware is a worse threat now than Viruses! Download these tools, update , then run them & you'll be fine. Crap Cleaner is one of the BEST Free tools I've seen. I will suggest one more tool though. Spyware Blaster from JavaCool. All i does is BLOCK Spyware. After you clecn your system, I recommend download this free tool, update it & Enable ALL Protection. It works! Granted No Program can block ALL of this Crap, SpywareBlaster does very good!
Just go to www.javacool.com

Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

I am in the middle of scanning right now. Thank you so much for the help, I really appreciate it. Hopefully this will work and my cd burner will work again...... hopefully.

Do you know what Iadhide.dll is? The first scan (ccleaner) couldn't get it off the computer. I'm still scanning with the next program..

Here is a link about that dll file you were asking about. You can just do a search online to find out about files such as this next time you have a question. Good luck with your PC cleaning. :)

I would recommend using Webroot Spy Sweeper as well. Finds and deletes all spyware and adware, as well as deletes any browser hijackers. I've used it on many computers and it always did the trick. Free trial for 2 weeks, can't beat it. Still keep the other scanners as they are the best free removers out there.

Thank you everyone for your help with this. I have taken quite a few off of my computer already. Would a spyware program or something similar mess up the settings on my dvd/cd burner?

ddp, who said you could steal my plans?? lol That is the exact order I run them in, and gets 100% about 95% of the time. Aurora has been proven to be the worst one adware I have come across. Ended up wiping the machine.
