Hy.
A friend of mine has an GF 5200 video card 128 mb/128 bit. In GTA & NFS U2 it works horrible. The mouse is moving very slow. He can play NFS U2 ony with minimum detalis. He wants to buy now a "HIS Radeon 9250 128Mb DDRAM AGP 8X (128bit) TV-OUT DVI Dual Display".
What's your oppinion about this video card? Is this card better than FX5200? He wants to play some games, but he is now a pc games fan. He just wants to play some games like GTA San Andreas & NFS UG2.

I have FX5200 right now...and need for speed underground 2 works fine on LOW settings. Also, the FX5200 is 64-bit i'm pretty sure. Go and smack your friend in the face for being a retard and tell him to buy a GeForce 6600GT or a GeForce 6800.

the 9250 dosen't include DirectX 9 support, the FX does so I would stay with the FX if I were you. I know they aren't the best card around but you can't beat them for the price you pay.

My other PC uses an FX5200 and manages battlefield 2, half life 2 and serious sam 2 just fine at low to mid settings & NFS2 pretty much maxed out with little slowdown. I suspect your friend has less ram and/or a slower cpu than me if NFS2 looks really bad.

If your friend is really unhappy with the current card performance then maybe he should be looking at a slightly more expensive card.
I wouldn't reccomend the 9250 anyway.
