This is the monitor im looking at buying..

http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=274376&cartEntryId=2

i want a 19" LCD.. and this seems like a great price.. id be using it for a little gaming, dvds, butmostly for video&graphic editing. So, is this worth it? i know it doesnt have a DVI input.. IMPORTANT? ive never used one before is there a big difference? also, the 16ms response time is that good enough for games and editing? is there anything else i shouldnt like about this monitor? thanks for all the help..

If the monitor doesn't have digital output, I wouldn't get it. I would pay more and get one that can connect to your video card via digital cable. Of course, you video card has to have a digital input too.

I think that you would also want to have something with faster than 16 ms response time .

Here you go:

I agree with Grandpa and Wolf's comments.

check this out; you can save money and it's a great lcd.

...go with a flat panel that has d-sub and dvi-d connectors; that way, you can hook up to various video cards and measure your performance from analog vs. digital. This is a good lcd monitor for the price and allows alot of flexibility. I have one and love it.

If you want to play games you will still want to buy a 19" or 21" CRT. I have a 21" Philips 201B4 for Gaming and love it. CRT's still outperform LCD when Gaming.

Keep us posted. And, good luck.
