I have a TSST Corp cd/dvdw TS-H552B and i allways burn DVD+ and they never give me any problems, but now i have been trying to back up some Xbox games on DVD- media and they allways give me problems, writing errors, reading errors after the disc is burned etc... but when i burn on a DVD+ media and it comes out great... I even tried backing up a movie on DVD- and they turned out to be crap, not even worthy of becoming a coaster :P anyways the DVD- media that i bought was Maxell , but i also have the same problems with memorex, ridata, fujifilm so i guess its not a media problem.

Maxell happens to be one of the top manufactured media around! check out his link:http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
The Maxell (made in Japan) are manufactured by Maxell, Taiyo Yuden, and MCC, all Rated #1! Only you Memorex sucks..... your Ridata and Fujifilm are good media!

your drive is made by Samsung and the link will show you the newest firmware you should have. If you don't then I suggest you update your firmware, which might solve your disk problems. That's why they make firmware updates! and firmware updates are not hard to do! hope I helped out a little......
