Do you have a router? or firewall?

What is the seeders/leechers ratio on the download?

What is your connection speed?

details help us out to subsequently help you out ;)

I have a similar problem. I have done everything that I've read, but my download speed is still EXTREMELY slow.

The speed stays at 0 for awhile and sometimes has "speed bursts" of
1 - 80B/s (not kb)

I have zone alarm pro firewall with all connections for Azureus allowed.I used TCP optimizer and followed a speed increase guide to no avail. Normal internet sites are lightning fast, normal download speeds exceed 500kb/s...its just Azureus. The torrent I am downloading has 20 seeders and 30 peers...which seems good to me.

Please help me, I registered here just for this post!!

00Luc00, as a test, try shutting down your firewall completely then see if the download speed improves.

I have found that the maximum download speed is 20kB/S when ZoneAlarm is running, and 80kB/s when I shut ZA down. Clearly there is a problem with the firewall settings.
