i'll keep this short and sweet. i downloaded a .rar file from limewire i am guessing it is from a torrent. i need the password so i can extract the archive.
Sometimes even the password is the site's name you downloaded the rar from. Or when you open the rar in WinRAR, in the description dialoug box (right panel /window in WinRar) , there's often the password or a description howto get the password. avoid those ones that force you to sign up for 'free porn' sites , vote for specific torrent/ware sites as since you have about as snowball's chance in hell getting the password anyway.
If you hafta, password crack the SOB with Rar password cracker. Takes awhile and may not always work but cant hurt to try. Last resort is, download from somewhere else that doesnt password protect downloads
