The Model of the phone is a 3220b. I did not know tht there was a difference. I am not sure which provider it is with?

Hi,
I put in my old PacBell sim and the phone is asking for a PIN code, so it must be of the PacBell network.

Hi,
I tried the code, but maybe I am not doing it right? I keyed in the code where it asks for the pin number? Only 8 digits are allowed to be input so I am doing something wrong. Can you give me step by step instructions. I have never done this before.

Do I need new codes if my phone is a 3220b?
I was reading in for forums that the 3220b uses different set of codes than 3220.
