Can anyone help me?

I downloaded BitTorrent a few days ago... and my download speed sucks. Varies from 4kbps to 24kbps tops. I found a tutorial on forwarding my ports, so I configured my router, but still no help.

I have a Linksys Router with a Motorolla Cable modem.

Are there any settings I need to change in my network settings? If so, how and what do I do? I am operating under Windows XP, and I use the Service Pack 2 firewall.

I just want to enhance my download speed.

NOTE: I've read through many tutorials, and they haven't helped. IF ANYONE CAN ASSIST ME, PLEASE ADVISE. Thanks!
