I'm looking to buy a External Hard Drive just so I can hold more sh^t on my computer and not have to burn or delete them write away.I have a HP 70gb internal right now that came with my computer. Don't mind paying $150-$250 for a good one must have no lower than 200gb. Thanks for any input.

Why not buy a external hard drive caddy such as a ICY BOX for example and then just buy a large capacity hard drive to put in it , this way tends to work out cheaper than buying an all in one external hard drive ....

You could buy this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144399 for $230.50 or you could get these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144408 $150.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817145125 $31.99
and just put the hard drive in the box and save yourself just under $50 ..... same capacity as each other, just an example ;)

Is this a good brand? (Western Digital), So if i buy the one for 150 and the box for 31.99 all i would have to do is just plug it toghter and then run the usb cable to my computer right? Oh and one more thing what does this mean ( 8MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive - OEM) Because the one for external one for 230 say this ( Western Digital Dual-option Combo WDXB3200JBRNN 320GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache USB 2.0 / IEEE 1394a Hard Drive ) I know what the 320gb stands for and the 7200rpm but not the rest. Thanks for the help. And is newegg.com a good place to buy from.

You will still have to format the HD.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144237

This drive, (above link,) is ATA-133 not ATA-100. The higher the number the more transfer of data can be accomplished. That's why the new SATA drives are 150.

View the link below for test comparisons.

Why not just get a Zip drive, or do you need it to have an OS installed?
My 120 gig Archos is a life saver, it will transfer files across my 2 PCs at an alarmingly fast rate! I would have said it was more robust too, than an IDE HD in an enclosure.
