I have a very simular configuration as your setup but I am using bitcomet 6.0. I have the same problem with download speed. I've read almost everything out there to improve speed such as port forwarding and triggering on 6881 to 6890. Increase max connection with BT client.
Nothing is working. I am getting 10 to 20 kb download speed.

If I pull out my linksys router, I can get up to 100 or 200 k depending on the amount of seeds. I have the lastest linksys firmware 1.2. Not sure why? Is linksys slowing things down? Tried it with Linksys wrt55a&g and wrt54g. Result are the same. My connection speed according to 2wire speed test drop almost in half if I go through the router.

With out the any router or zone alarm, I can get super download speed but got in trouble with hacker compromising my account. In case you don't know, zone alarm caught an application that was recording my keystoke to get into your $$$ account. If you think SSL will lock keystroke down? Good luck.

Firstly, remove your email becuase you WILL get spam and it is against forum rules.

Second, DO NOT forward ports 6881, etc becuase they are blocked by most clients and trackers and even some ISP.

Thank DVDBack23!!

Why is everyone doing port forwarding and port triggering on 6881 to 4889 to their linksys routers? If BT client or any P2P client uses 6881, you should open up this port, right?

Any thought?
