Hi,

I have an interesting problem, my DVD burner will change to a CD drive as soon as I put a blank DVD inside it. I have updated the firmware, and have checked that it will play a standard DVD (which it does)

I have put both a no name DVD disc in, as well as Maxell media. All to no avail! Until yesterday the burner worked fine, and I used it yesterday to back up one of my home videos.

I don't have any other burning software installed apart from Nero, which has worked great. I have looked on the Nero website and there are no upgrades to be done.

Any suggestions?
