Best quality DVD to burn ps2 games to? The price is no issue. I mean the absolute best DVD. And what is the best speed to burn at so the videos don't miss up and cut off.

verbatim or taiyo yuden are probably the best (I think they're manufactured by the same company). Usually lower burn speeds (1X or 2X) are better, although many people think burn speed doesn't make a difference I would recommend not going over 4X.

well this is always the million dollar question, with no
real answers. everyone prefers something differnt
but most people use the following
Verbatim,Taiyo Yuden,Ritek,TDK,Philips
I have heard that Sony works well but only if you buy a
pack that says it was made in Japan, same with Maxcell
Stay far away from Memorex which are not at all good.

I have used Philips 8X DVD-R for more games than i care to count
and they work every time for me in both my V7 & V12
I suggest you start burning at 1X if you buy 4X DVD's
But with 8X DVD's you should set the write speed to 4X
for the best results. Burning 8X DVD's too slow will give you
the same effect as burning some DVD's at too high a speed.

DVD Decrypter is a good free program for backing up your games
you can get it in the software section here

ok I went to best buy and got some verbatim's DVD-R and I want to know if this would make a differeance with this game I have. I got a game on a TEON DVD-R and the voices in the videos will repeat there selves. If I burn the TEON DVD-R to a Verbatim DVD-R will the videos perform better?

it is possible. I had that happen and reburned it to a better
quality DVD and it worked fine. As long as all the files are there
and in good order, which they are if it plays, then better media
may solve the problem.
