Hello, I am trying to back-up one of my PS-2 games (been doing for awhile with no problems). First I tried Decrypter; I can rip fine, but when I put in the empty disk, it starts to write the lead-in and never moves on. The transfer rate is 0 and I can't stop or cancel the program. Then I tried Nero using the "Copy Entire Disk" and the same thing happened. It's not the media, I use genuine TY and always have. I write at 1x or 2x. I have a Lite-On DL DVD-RW Drive that's less than a year old. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Can you provide the burn log? Remove your serial number before posting.

I don't think I can get a log from either program since it freezes immed after it starts the lead-in process. Also, would I have to try again in order to get a report, or can I pull it up now? Sorry, I've never had to get a reprt before. I looked, but I couldn't see where to get one. I use Nero version 6.6.0.15 bundled. Although I usually use Decrypter. Thanks again.

Well jsut to let you know you are 1 version behind. Current is 6.6.0.16. Your Nero log is Ahead/nero/nerohistory. And what is your burner mondel? Is your firmware up to date? And just the last section. The top of the last section should have
====== *** NeroAPI, History File *** ======
just scroll down to your last entry.

Thanks for the help. I looked up my history and the last entry was a music CD I made before I was trying to back-up the game. It doesn't even show anything about the game. Here's my info on my drive and stuff though. Anyone let me know your thoughts. Also, I saw in Ahead that I have Recode 2 and when I tried to open it, it said that the license I currently use does not allow me to open that application. Any ideas? Thanks again.

You're missing alot from the log. Left out nearly all of it. But from what I could see you need to update your Nero, current version is 6.6.0.16 you have 6.6.0.15. Also your firmware is several versions behind. here is link:

Not sure if this will help you w/ your prob. but do it jsut in case.

Yeah, I didn't put the report because there was no report for the game, only for the last CD I made. I was just giving my drive info and what not. Thanks for letting me know I was behind on updates, I updated as soon as you left your first response. I'll update my firmware as soon as I get home from work. However, I don't believe this is the problem. I've had no other issues backing-up DVDs or games. There is no special encryption of the game either, so I'm pretty stumped. Also, anyone have ideas about the Recode issue? Thanks.
