Hello,
I am searching for a programm for free that can splitt an -avi file into two .
Can somebody help me please.

In the articles section there is a guide for splitting movies and what software you need. For AVI's you probably can use virtualdub though you may need other things for the audio. Check out the articles.

I have used VirtualDub to split avi files and it works GREAT!! I found this article that tells me how to do it step-by-step, since I am a newbie to this.
