Hello,
I own a HP zx5280 3200HT P4 Laptop with 1gig RAM. I have a Toshiba ODD-DVD SD-R6252 CD/DVD R/RW. I know that there have been issues with this drive since forever, but I have downloaded and installed the updated firmware and it has helped alot with errors, but I still have issues when trying to play certain DVD movies. The problem is that it will not read some DVD movies that do play on other computers and DVD players. I also use DVD region-free CSS full version, as I watch many region 3 movies. Also a once in a while I get a fatal error in windows that restarts the computer when trying to burn CD's to my windows Media library. I was hoping if anyone could help me with this problem or if there is anything that I can do aside from purchasing a new drive. Thanks for all the help in advance.
