I have a modchip integrated within my PS2. I AM EXHAUSTED, as I cannot seem to find a way to make STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT 2 work.

Would any of you be so kind as to offer a detailed method to make it work?

Dunno I just backed this game up the other day. I burned it to Yuden000T02 (Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD+R's) booktyped to DVD-ROM and it played fine. What's the Media ID of the discs you're using?

91. Q. What is the Media ID of a DVD and how can I find it?
A.The Media ID of a DVD is the true measure of it's quality. It contains prerecorded info about the disc's manufacturer. The quality of the disc will vary depending on the media code. The media code isn't visible on the disc or the packaging. To check the media ID, Open DVD Decrypter, insert your disc, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. You can also use a program called DVD Identifier which is very useful. You can find it here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id...
Compare the Media ID to this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

I beg to differ. Have you tried the game on TY's or Verb's? If not, then there's no way you can rule out the media. Before you counter with "well all my other games work..." that doesn't matter. Cheap media won't fail with all games, just some that're picky. Not to mention it'll wear down your PS2 laser in a hurry with cheap dyes. Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim use AZO dyes which are nice and reliable. The PS2 laser is a lot more picky than a standalone DVD-ROM drive. You can throw CMC Mag in most standalones and it'll play fine. The PS2 is a whole different animal.

I have a working backup of StarWars Battlefront II, it was very easy using WinHex 11.5 (and no I didn't need a code to do the Split). Just split the game to 4.3 GB and the ISO will become slightly smaller.

After that, you need to blow away the original ISO or place it in another directory for archiving purposes, and then rename the WinHex'ed Split ISO the same name so that the MDS file recognizes it, other wise you get an error.

Select the mds which will find the correctly named WinHex'ed and smaller ISO, finish the burn as normal. I have Swap Magic 3.6, and at this point the backup worked like all others.

Now if I can only get Prince of Persia The Two Thrones to work!!

Well you obviously haven't tried everything if you haven't burned it to Verb's. It may never work on the crappy Memosux, trying good media is the first thing you should try. That's the first I always recommend and the most common solution to boot failures. Try it on the Verb's.
