D/L problems - slower than normal for me

Hey,

I got about 8 dl's on Azereus right now, and I got a problem cuz with my DSL connection, I am only getting about max 7 kbps for one torrent, and the otehrs are either at 0 or at like 2 or 1.5 kbps. Is this because the PC being d/led on is wirelessly networke,d with a linksys wireless b router? Becaue Wireless B I think only handles like 11 kbps max, so if I put a direct ethernet cable to my PC, would it go much faster? Besides, I already have forwared my router and followed the tutorial on how to increase my torrent speed with ports 6881 and 6889 and followed it, but to no avail.

So, bottom line, is the wireless b thing and the fact that the pc is on a wireless network the reason why it is so slow, and if it is, then would an ethernet cable fix it?

Not completely sure about your wireless connection, but DO NOT ever download more than 1 torrent at a time, you will get HORRENDOUS speeds.

Also do not forward ports 6881, etc, move to some random port (like 40,000+)

So if i do only one, I should get like 75'ish?




So....what 'random' ports should i forward it to rather than 6881 to 6889? I have a linksys setup btw.

Depending on the amount of seeds, you should get a very decent speed, and as for the random ports, how bout 50312-50319. Sounds random enough for me ;)
