I have a computer with 900mhz duron and 768 mb's of ram. To play world of warcraft i need a grapghics accelerator. My motherboard has a agp 2x slot and a couple pci ones. Should i get a agp 2x card or a pci one and if there is any good ones, could som1 point me in the direction of one?

Hmm ... AGP is the best choice but to play the game is very demanding .. lol.. AGP 2X might not perform well... u might see white spots on com ... AGP 4X is min .. if im nt wrong .. and 8X is recommended .. not saying about 16X ... u can change your board .. since many board still support duron .. e.g. MSI KT4-AV./.. cheap and good for your games

A PCI graphics card will definitely NOT cut it, so forget about that!
If you consider ant3202's suggestion then check your CPU socket please. If you can find a motherboard with AGP x8 that supports your processor (i.e. the cpu socket), that may be an option. If not you're either stuck with AGP x2, or you would have to buy not only a new graphics cars and a new MB, but also a new CPU that fits the MB...

i think its time for a new pc. agp 2x is very far behind at this point and its just not worth the money to upgrade a motherboard to save a cpu that runs at under 1ghz. you can make a huge improvement by throwing together a basic p4 system that can run at about 2.4ghz, has 512mb ram, 8x agp graphics, etc. you can do this pretty easily on a tight buget. let me know if you need help with any components or anything if you decide to go in this direction.
