PC unable to read some PS2 Discs (eg. Soulcalibur 3, Devil Kings)

I have backed up many of my games before and this is one time i'm like totally stumped.

Here is my setup and apps i have:
DVD decryptor, ISObuster, Alcohol 120%, Nero 7
DVD burner : TDK 1616dln with latest firmware

My PC refuses to read the 2 above mentioned games and I tried alcohol 120% but it doesnt detect any disc inserted at all.

The only app that detects anything is Isobuster and using that i tried to extract it into an image file onto my hard drive. However after a while (about 77% for devil kings) i get a message saying the disc cannot be read and the app asks to either replace with zeroes or dummy data, i chose zeroes and after a while it froze at 77%.

My question is how can i get my dvd burner to read these 2 discs properly? It is definitely not a disc problem, because after i got this problem, i borrowed my friend's games to see if my pc can read them, and 90% are readable, but stuff like Shaman King, Guilty Gear Isuka can't be read at all.

Is there a solution for this? Is it a problem with my burner? Thanks!

Dirty or scratched disks? I know I had this problem on FarCry for the PC. have you tried putting the disks in another computer to see if they come up there? Grab some isopropyl alcohol and gently rub the bottom of it with some of it on a tissue and try again.

but my soulcalibur and devil kings are like really new and really clean? not a single scratch on them and my ps2 can read them flawlessly. The thing is the PC doesn't even detect the media when i put it into my drive. It can't be a region lock problem or something right? I mean even if its region lock, i can at least see what files are on the disc?

its like totally weird. and no i havent tried to put it in another computer yet probably will do that this weekend.

Little late on a reply but I saw on ps2hds list devil kings came up as shrinkable because false lba.
I loaded itup and noticed the dummy file shares the exact same lba # as another file. Ive never seen that before and just knew thats bound to be trouble and tried looking around for info
