I need to make a file smaller by 2mb. I was wondering If I can go into windows movie maker or a program where I can cut the intro out to the shows.

I want to burn the whole season 1 onto a dvd data disc so I can watch it on my ps2 with the reality player. I just need to somehow get the file 2mb smaller.

What kind of file? AVI? mpg? mkv?
If it is an AVI then you could remux with AVIMuxGUI in low overhead mode. No idea if the players AVI parser will handle it though. Output is spec compliant though.

it is just a regular .AVI file. I need to cut like 2mb out of like 13 files combined. so if I take out like 250 k from each file it would be good.

Numerous freeware apps capable of cutting avi's like VirtualDubMod or AVIMuxGUI.

Can you use windows movie maker and if you can how?

When I opened the file in Virtual dub mod it said something about re encoding. So is there way I can just take out 15-20 seconds of the video without messing with the coding or anything.
