?Personally, for the price, the BenQ DW-1640 is hard to beat. However, there are many other fine burners out there. LiteOn's SOHW 1693S, Plextor's PX716A, NEC's ND-3540A, LG's GSA-4167B and Pioneer's DVR-110D all have very loyal users.

The newest Plextor (the PX740A) is made by BenQ. AND Pioneer ... unless you hack your firmware, you can't booktype your discs to DVD-ROM. I considef the Pioneer drives to be excellent DVD-R writers ... but as far as DVD+R goes ... well there's a few that are better. Like the BenQ DW1640
