Ok, what is a 4pin connector? It would be good to upgrade it as it is fairly old. It is one that has the 2 inputs, one for the power and the other for the screen.

Im not sure if it added up properly but when i did it, the end total was 205.

the 4pin square connector supplies extra power to p4 type motherboards so you are looking at replacing the psu if wanting to use upto date motherboard.

Ahh, ok. Yeah well when we upgrade the mobo and cpu, we will be looking at the newer ones, the cpu will be about 2.8 - 3.2ghz as we dont want to pay too much, the 2.8 we have in the new computer is going pretty good.

So if we upgrade the PSU, what brands would you recommend? If you can what exact one would you recommend?

i think the antec psu's are supposedly good. run that program i linked to you to see what size you'll need but keep in mind expandability for new devices as in more hd's or a power hungry videocard.
