hi i am having probs with my pc, things r not minimizing to the task bar but sitting on top of it. pc is running slow. when i go to system restore, it just brings up a blank window. someone please help?

When was the last time you checked for viruses? It sounds like your computer may be infected, big time.

Sounds like you have spyware or virus problems to me also. Go here and follow ddp's advice. It sure worked for me.

thanks guys,
i followed ddps instructions and run it all through my pc. its running smother, but i still cant get to my email,click on links or get to system restore. and things are still minimizing to ontop of the task bar!
any ideas?

Sorry to say, but what I would do is back up all important stuff, and wipe the drive. Once you are infected with some of the newer trojans/spyware, some things are never the same. Typically, once one of my machines is compromised, it gets wiped and re-imaged.

i was starting to think that myself, i suppose ill have 2 give it a go. if it works ill report back n let u no, if not, well, ill have to get back to u when/if i get back online!

Very important before you wipe the drive. Make sure you have all the drivers for your vid card/network card, etc BEFORE you wipe the drive. With no drivers for the network card, you cant get online to download drivers. Just burn a CD with all the stuff you need to get most things functional. The most important being network. The rest you can d/l after the re-install. I prefer to have video as well, cause I cant stand 640X480.
