im just wondering if you stop your downloads alot and then resume them does this affect your download speed. Cause i had to stop my download 3 times and it realy got slow.

Yes, stopping then resuming a download WILL slow the download speed. Initially.

When you first start a download, whatver-you-have-downloaded-so-far % gets checked (this can take a few minutes depending on the size of the file), THEN your BT client will try to connect to peers of the file - this is where time is consumed. (can usually take upwards of an hour to reach "full" speed of that torrent - "speed" depends on how many seeds there are to leechers, amongst other things).

Hence, whenever you stop and resume, it has to go through the entire process stated above, giving the impression that the download speed is reduced.

SO, try to reduce the amount of time you need stop/resume.
