Is it possible if i have generic 512mb ddr pc3200 ram. can i put a corsair 512mb ddr pc3200 ram chip together will it work? they are the same size? they just diff brands?

There is no reason that they wont work together, if the board will support either type.
You have to remember that the memoy will work at the lowest speed of the two if it is different.

No, he is saying if you put PC3200 RAM in your computer, then add RAM with a lower PC number, it will run at the speed of the lesser RAM.

nope brands dont matter...but like he siad it will run at the sloweset speed of the two. So ya better to run the faster of the two and leave the slow one out...

so your saying if i get a pc2700 with a pc3200 it will run slower. but i was going to get a pc3200 since i have one already and get another 3200
