I burned a couple of times and each time I do it goes to the playstation then to colton holding a gun and then nothing afterwards (the game is originally a pal that a used y fix to the screen), any help is welcomed.

Things that I have tried (and not worked):

Rebuilding the ISO.

Using DVD+R and DVD-R.

Burning the original ISO with no y-fix or rebuilding.

Updated DMS3 bios.

Burning it with serveral programs including DVD Decrypter and NERO.

Please be a little bit more precise, what game are you trying to copy or play, and what exactly your problem is.

Game is Gun.

The game will not load after you see colton holding a gun and the screen say loading. The screen right after the playstation logo.

"First of all tell me if your using a chip or swap magic, if chip what chip"

DMS3 as stated in the first post.

"is it updated to latest firmware, what media are you burning to, and the speed ur burning at? And try and clean ur laser, might help, cheap DVD-R or +r are no good."

Yes updated as stated in the first post, I clean my laser every week (I have over 50 games that work and plays just fine, Gun is the only giving me a problem), maxell is the media DVD+R and then I used ritek DVD-R, both still had the same problem.

"usa or PAL?"

Original a PAL as stated in the original post (which I used the y-fix to center the screen).

"what size is it?"

Was originally less then 3GB, when I rebuilt it came to about 1.6GB.

well that might just be your problem .. you might have removed some data that you shouldnt have while re-building.

I dont see no point in rebuilding a game thats smaller than 4.7gig .. i always thought that re-building was so that the game would fit on a single 4.7gig disk ???

Should only need to rebuilt if the TOC of the disc is really close to 4.7 otherwise it should be fine just burning it as normal

Your burning to a blank dvd right, u dont need to reuse the disk after, so why rebuild the game, sometimes a game doesnt function when dummy files and other stuff is removed, so i think u should try to copy the orignal one again. And only rebuild if there is a shortage of space on the DVD, for example dvd-9 games are huge, u might need to do it for that, but leave it for disks below 4.5gb.
When u rebuild a disk and make it smaller, the ps2 takes treble the time to read it, thats why disks are made like this, because the laser reads the outer side of the disk easily.
