burningsoftware problem

Im using dvd decrypter to burn my ps2 backups and since ive formatted im unable to select lower speeds when burning..if i put it 1x it still burns at the maximum of the media's speed. can anyone help with this problem? thanks in advance.

Since you've formatted what?

Try uninstalling decrypter and then installing it again.

formatted my pc* and i tried uninstaling it and installing it again and it continues to burn 4x..this happend out of the blue..

No idea why it'd do that.. what media are you using? do the games work afterwards?
I use 8x media and burn at 4x to 8x anyway and they always come out brilliantly on good media.

i use memorex, sony, and other random ones..either way it wont burn at the speed i select it to burn. yes the games do work but sometimes there are problems which have started since ive burned at these speeds. Before, when id use to burn on 1-2x, there would be absolultely no problems even on dollar store kodak media.

Maybe you need to update the Driver and/or the firmware for the dvd writer.. that's the only other thing I can think of

Alcohol 120% is my choice of burning my back ups works good every time one thing it is not free but it is worth buying with life time updates

The burning software isn't a problem... DVD Decrypter and Nero both work brilliantly.... if your games stop working after a few weeks or months then it's the media that's the problem. Buy some Taiyo yuden, verbatim or ritek media... And how did you get on with updating your driver and firmware? did it sort the problem?

Getting good discs can sometimes help also some discs wear out after a while and get scatched easie. take care of the discs too. One problem i see ALOT surprisingly is the cables not connected properly all the way and y do you want your burer to burn slower?

I agree with Paddymail, I think it's the media. Try getting some better media. What kind of burner do you have?
