FIFA 06 screen problems

hi i'm new here. i got a question i downloaded two versions of fifa 06 both happened to be pal. i converted them into ntsc format but the bottom of the screen is cutoff on the buttom. is there any way to get to see the bottom of the screen where the player's bars are.

no i have a mod chip. it's called magic sky. i downloaded two versions one was PAL which was crap in loading, and then one that was already converted into NTSC, but the bottom of screen still cutoff is there any way to make any changes to the original file to make it work correctly

when i downloaded the file it didnt give me the usual iso image that i burn, it gave me several images they are like 200kb each but they all have the same thing, and all the rest of the files

ya tnx for the tip. the game worked as far as centering the screen but the game doesn not load anymore. when i try the PAL version it works perfect, this one just freezes now.

Well not every game is compatible with every patcher. I guess you may just have to live with the screen being off centered. FYI I tested my theory about downloading a PAL game and forcing it to NTSC mode. I downloaded the PAL version of Gun and it works perfectly in NTSC mode. Good modchips are the shiznit. I know that doesn't help you much, but I don't think there's really a lot you can do except find a torrent for the NTSC version. what do those y fixes mean when i use pal2ntsc converter. does adjusting make any difference

if i changed the y fix to a lower number say 24 on the y fix offset. i tried 40 and it was still same ting

The Y fix coordinates refer to the postion of the screen. It may just be a compatiblity issue. Not every game is compatible with the NTSC2PAL or Adr patcher. Search google for instructions on your modchip and see if there's any way to force video mode with it. If not, then use the listed I provided to find the NTSC version of FIFA 2006.

i have a US PS2 with a mod chip and played my FIFA06 backup in Italy without problems... but now back in the US my screen is going insane. any ideas? is there a place on the menu that allows me to change it to NTSC? some games have that option but since i cant see the screen i cant do it. if someone tells me where it is, how many times to move, what buttons to hit, etc.. otherwise i have to get a NTSC version and im already 4 seasons in to my manager and opened more than half the unlocks with points. thanks!

i have the newest version of crystal chip that was available last december. and i play all the games and they work in italy. and actually, about half of the backups i own that are thai versions work, and 2 of the 10 italian games work. unfortunately fifa06 is one of them that i cant see anymore. i noticed some games had the ability to switch between PAL and NTSC and i cant remember if fifa06 did as well. otherwise, what can i do?

I just came across this on the Crystal Chip site. Apparently, it doesn't play backups. http://crystal-chips.com/main/content/blogcategory/14/26/lang,en/ Now I don't know much about the Crystal Chip, but I'm sure there is hacked firmware which will allow you to play backups. And you say a couple of your backups work. I downloaded the crystal chip firmware, checked the readme file, their official site, and couldn't find anything about how to force video mode. Most likely there is a way. I'd check out the CC forums: http://crystal-chips.com/main/content/view/79/64/lang,en/ That should get you pointed in the right direction.

well, all of my backups work, which i assume the point of the modchip is. ive played thai and italian backups without problems when i was in italy and ive played italian and american originals. so the only problem is the ntsc/pal output. ill check out the crystal chip site but im thinking there must be some sort of conversion between the PS2 and the TV??? as we say in italy 'what a ball breakers!'

Yeah most likely the Crystal Chip can force video mode. Good modchips can. The Crystal Chip site is less than useful. The forums should have the info you're looking for. Check em out.

well, modchips are supposed to play backups, and ive played thai and italian backups with mine already, and ive played italian and american originals. so... i dont think it is a crystal chip issue. i think its an issue of the games not working for the TV b.c the PS2 plays them. im thinking something needs to be done between the PS2 and the TV to convert the PAL to NTSC. any ideas? ill check out the link and see what i can find out. as we say in italy 'what a balls breakers!'
