Taariq I am having a similar problem. I have a 120 gigabyte HD and have made MULTIPLE copies from my DVD library and am now at 70 gigs accounted for but am out of room, Bycrosoft: is defrag the solution? sometimes when i delete the VOB I don't get back the same space; sometimes it is just half. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes.
Defragging helps alot....
it helps in speed and in space....
Windows sometimes gives innacurrate size labels that can result in improper disk space emssages
Just try it and see if it fixes it for you....
if it doesnt... it doesnt....

bycrosoft, found part of the problem, norton was protecting some of the VOB that I had deleted so I dumped them all and now have about 40 gigs to play with; I did the defrag and it was a short event 10 minutes so I used Norton's speed disks 5 hours and things are running smooth again, thanks so much for the input
