multimedia audio controller error

i have reinstalled xp pro sp2, and now have no audio.
in com manage it shows yellow error on "multimedia audio controller"
i have a Creative AudioPCI (ES1371,ES1373) (WDM) sound card and wasnt able to find any driver, any ideas?

Did you install XP over your previous XP, or did you do the Format C:/ and then install it?

formatted and installed.
in the device manager there is no creative cad just "multimedia audio controller".
i've tried to find drivers but with no luck.

Yeah its funny how XP didnt pick up a creative sound card? (basic drivers)

its an old one, 5-6 years...but the device manager doesenr recognize the card by name" creative...." but as "multimedia audio controller" and gives me an code 1 error.(wrong driver).

That link i gave you... Try it and goto "soundBlaster > Others > Archived products"

Im sure it will be one of them.... Try PCI128 that was a popular card... (sorry, the chip numbers you gave in your first post, i cant think of what they would go with)

thats it!
i checked with an other audio card and it recognized it and then put back the "poblematic" card and ta-ta!! it was recognized!!
