LG GSA-4167B question

Hi everyone, I have a quick question.

I installed 2 LG GSA-4167B's in my computer and I am only able to rip/read DVD rom's at 2.4X according to Nero Infotool. Dvd Decrypter also confirms this. I have a sony USB drive that drx-720ul and it specifies if can read at 8X.

The 2 Lg's are hooked up to my secondary IDE and one is slave, the other is master. DMA setting all look fine.

Excuse my ignorance if I am missing something but this is the first time I have built my own computer and installed drives.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
