ive read loadsa postings about azurues downloads....some peopl get 10-50kb d/lspeeds others get max of 700kb!!!! i get about 110kb untill i start another download...i think something is definately wrong as my bandwidth is capable of 8000kbs

can any1 help

Your download speed also depends on how many peers are seeding this particular torrent, and how many of them you are connected to. You have to take into account their uploading speeds. You can't download faster than they can upload. This being said, the more peers you are connected to, the faster your download is likely to go. In order to connect to many clients, make sure you are using a good torrent. I get a few of my torrents from http://mininova.org and http://isohunt.com and a few others.

The max download speed that I have gotten to per torrent is about 450 KB/S. I never download just one at a time, so it would probably be higher if I was only donwloading one.

To be honest, BitTorrent isn't so much about speed, but more content availability.

In my experience, downloading 3 torrents at a time, I get around 80 KBps - 180KBps TOPS, average at 120KBps.

Obviously it appears wrong in light of your line's maximum bandwidth. Just remember, to get even near that speed you'd need to find local servers (ie. servers belonging to your ISP and/or country/state) and use multiple streams (via a download manager such as FlashGet or GetRight etc...).

My point is that, with BitTorrent, don't expect phenonomal speeds. BTW, I live in Australia, so you could imagine most of my traffic is international, hence slower than most.

You know that rare phenonomon when after hours and hours and hours of troubleshooting, things just just magically work and you have no idea why? Just gotta love it! ;-)
