There would be no point to use DVD Shrink to burn a DL media. The purpose of DVD Shrink is to re-encode into compressed MPEG4. Stick to DVD Decrypter, Nero7, and ImgBurn, for example, for burning DL media.

Did this burner come with a Gateway computer by chance?

You should be able to get the exact name of your burner from DVD Decrypter. What is the name shown for the drive. It would be the text immediately to the left of the firmware version number.

I suspect you have a Samsung burner. We'll sort out the firmware and booktyping after zeroing in on the exact burner you have.

JBonD_007,
You need to convert the HD to NTFS from Fat32:

Do what laddyboy stated but I find DVDDecrypter to be the best program to find the layer break. Nero still has problems w/ layer break. Shrink will give you problems if you try that proggy doing a d/l

Your burner should be a ts-h552b (toshiba samsung) they make a gao4 or you could go to ts10. they both work fairly well for this drive. then dvddecrypter iso read and iso write.

New build with goodies

If you have a Samsung 522B, your firmware is here:

I think bitsetting was implemented in TS9 but I don't remember for sure. I know a lot of people have trouble with this burner. Honestly if you want to do a lot of DL burning, get a BenQ or NEC. Both seem to do excellent jobs with all the DL media with their newest firmware and/or modded firmwares (for the NEC). I don't have any experience with this burner so someone else will have to give you further guidance.
