I tried to rip Lords of Dogtown a while back, and while the free version of Fab ripped the entire movie, DVDFab express came up with an error.

It also came up with an error while I was trying to rip Arrested Development Season 2.

It's asking me to send the error report over the internet and all that.

Is it just me this is happening to.

Make sure they are both up to date. DVDFab was just updated today.

I already had the new ones, same problem.

You seem like a smart guy Jag, I read you guide.

So why Is It I had no problems ripping Bewitched with DVD 43 and DVD Decrypter but others did.

I'm not paying for AnyDVD, I have a grudge against them.

BTW, Arrested Development Season 2 has some type of protection, but on Decrypter with DVD43 it only messes up the Menu Screen.

On DVDFab with DVD43 The main Episodes are messed up too.

On Fabexpress "error"

I would think that if you have the updated DVDFab, you would not need to be running DVD43 at all. It has newer encryption technology than DVD43.

Maybe you are having a conflict between the two.

^^^^That is correct. DVD43 should be used for movies that you cannot rip with conventional methods.

Argg, thanks for the compliment.

I am thinking that most of the conflicts (problems) come from people installing too much software like games, codecs, etc... Also, they may not take care of their PCs (defragging, virus scanning, etc...).

I have never tried DVD43, but I am assuming it is very similar to AnyDVD. Since you are using that program, you are wise to not install AnyDVD. They do not live well together.

I wonder, who make Arrested Development? Perhaps this one is a Ripguard movie as well. You can try to follow the guide I posted for backing it up, but I have yet to see a Ripguard movie. You can try Decrypter without DVD43 first. If a program can rip a movie without any help, then there is a better chance you will not get an error.

What happens to the menu anyways?? They usually do not put anything special on a menu. Is there a chance that this DVD was authored badly (low budget)? I copied a movie a while back and there wasn't a menu. I thought, "Wow, how stupid, no menu on an episodic DVD!!!", but it turns out that there was one, but the DVD was badly authored, so the commands were a bit screwed up.

Well with DVD Decrypter and DVD 43 the menues were green and choppy but the main episodes were fine.

With DVDFAb and 43, Everything was choppy.

But I still get the same Error With DVDFAB (The one you pay for) when I close DVD43. Do I need to delete it.

I guessing I'll have the same problem with Stealth right?
