dont buy the asrock939-sata2 mobo.i had alot of problems with the north and south bridge overheating and crapping out the system.the mobo was great till i pumped up the graphics and started playing some really intense graphical pc games, then all hell broke lose.i wanted to post this incase anyone here is thinking of buying one.i was reading in other forms that this mobo has big problems in that area.just a word to the wise.the board is sweet but it cant keep up with the ever changing game scene.the graphic are getting more and more intense everyday.something just isnt right.probably if they change the cooling soulution on the n&s bridge, the problem would go away.instead i rma,ed this mobo and got the slammin asus A8N32-SLI DELUXE..peace

While I've never used the ASRock mobo, I think it's OK for someone looking for a value stock system, but there's a GOOD reason that all of the boards that overclock well are also among the most expensive. The more expensive boards use higher quality parts where there is more engineering "headroom" above the specs. But just because you blow the engine on an econobox after putting a nitrous oxide injection system on the motor doesn't mean that the car was bad. ;)

It's good to see that you got the only ASUS socket 939 board that overclocks well, ASUS makes a good board but their previous socket 939 boards have been OC dudes, the reviews on the A8N32 with the newest nF chipsets have been great for stock and OC tests.

Post your OC results after you've got it tuned. :)

hey dog,building tonight
this asrock is not an oc`er as per box reads.this mobo was on fire.north and south bridge was so hot ,it put a blister on my finger.when it cooled down the next day,i turned the pc back on,worked for about a half hour and i felt the north and south bridge at normal setting, red hot again then the pc started to turn off.i turn it back on shut down.so i know everything is still good, but the bridges need a better cooling solution ,i guess.thats why i say, dont oc unless you get better cooling solutions on those bridges unless you want to have a bar b que...lol...peace dog
