I just recently got a mp3 player and am trying to put some music on there from various cd's that i own. My question is, can i convert these songs to wma form using Windows Media Player 10? I cant seem to find out how to. If not can someone recomend a free software that i can change mp3's and wav. files to wma or ogg form?

If you have the original cd as in you bought it from a shop thenr re-rip the cd's again. Converting from WMA to MP3 will result in lost quality. Use Exact Audio Copy to rip your music to MP3. This guide will explain everything = http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/mydeneaclame.cfm

Also I should add that if you don't have the original cds, you can use windows movie maker to convert them. Just import them into movie maker, drag them into the timeline, select "save movie file" and it'll make it into a wma at whatever bitrate you want.
