Can a DVD R+/RW drive back up XBox/PS2 Games?

I am in the market to get a mod chip for each of my game units [XBox and PS2]. I have a DVD R+/RW drive. Can I use this to make playable backups for my game systems. I have first release [first generation] game units.

Yes you can. For ps2 all you need is good software and and a good modchip. Im not sure about xbox. If you have questions you should ask them in

Ps2 forum. That forum also has a banner to the best modchip selling site around. I suggest a magic 3.1 for ps2!!

XboX forum. You can also buy a modchip for the xbox from the same banner in the ps2 forum!
